GREOSK

14 y.o. male, with intermittent epilepsy of temporal lobe origin. His seizures started at age of 8, with no effect on AED. Fits had a form of IA symptoms (epigastric auras) occasionally evolving to partial complex. Since 2003 he was on VNS therapy - seizure free for 2 years. Since 2005 seizures recurred - he was diagnosed with some mass in right temporal region (not seen in 2 MRIs before).

Interictal EEG - mild occasional slow waves dispersed.

He was operated on Aug 2006 - lesionectomy of the mass in right temporal lobe - seizure free after.

Pathology - pleomorphic xantoastrocytoma (PXA) in right temporal region
