Female, born 1996, with severe form of temporal lobe epilepsy

JANPAT JANPAT

11 y.o. female, with severe form of temporal epilepsy since 6 y.o. She experienced many complex partial fits (automatisms, bizarre agitation) a day, some of them (few a week) secondary generalized. None of the AED ever helpful.  Mild to moderate cognitive impairment.
EEG - interictal - revealed some repetitive synchronized gross sharp waves with regional slowing in right temporal area.
MRI revealed lesion in right mesio-temporal region.
She was operated on Jan 2007 - Spencer mode: right temporal topectomy with AHT resection - some auras persisted, no IIB and IIC fits
Pathology - FCD type IIA and sclerosis hippocampi of right temporal lobe (dual pathology)
