JATKAM

14 y.o. female, having seizures since early childhood, presenting as atypical pseudo-absences and some occasional partial fits with mesio-temporal symptoms.

Her EEG showed some unstable pattern of sharp waves and rare spiking arising from both sides. She was diagnosed with Foramen Ovale electrodes which showed all discharges arising from right mesio-limbic region.

MRI showed a mass located in right temporal pole and mesial region.

She was operated on Jun 2007 - Spncer procedure (topectomy + AHT), since than seizure free.

Pathology: revealed multiple changes - within hippocampal region there was PXA (pleomorphic xantoastrocytoma) typical tissue, neighbored by ganglioglioma, FCD of IIB type and hippocampal sclerosis signs.
